End of a steamy era

High Wycombe's very own Emperor, local historian Andy Aliffe, is a genuinely lovely chap. He's an ex-BBC Senior Radio Producer who loves his hometown and he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. In his alter-ego as the town's Emperor, he'll often be seen supporting local functions, arts festivals and other events and helping to raise money for charity.

But it's his history knowledge that interests us here and I was delighted to discover that he's just created his own YouTube Channel. He's going to use it to show us around his 'empire' and to share his knowledge.  

Here he is visiting Carters Steam Fair at West Wycombe at what, sadly, is their swansong. I'll let him explain ...
