Photographing time

I'm looking forward to January 1st and te start of my 'Field in a Year' project where I'm taking a photo every single day from around the same vantage spot.

Meanwhile I've come across two photographers this past week who also capture the passing of time. The first is Ciro Russo who made this beautiful composite image of 12 pictures of the sun photographed from the same spot, same time, same day every month, for a year.
This is Ciro's Instagram page

The second photographer is Alex Hyner who cleverly takes multiple photos from the same spot, usually of telegraph poles. He then uses the telephone wires and power lines in the same way that stained glass artists use lead flashing to break up the image. Into each 'pane' he places pieces of images from different days. What we then get to see is the passage of time in a single image.

It's a beautiful and very clever concept.

Ah, if only my project produces such natural wonders!
